I published a version of this post over at Latter-Day Homeschooling...for those of you who don't read that blog (and for my records) I modified it somewhat and re-posted it here.
This has been such fun, I just want to share a quick little bit about it.
A couple days ago I challenged my boys to a secret service jar.
I found a bunch of little hearts and a pint jar. I asked them each to take 3 hearts. Just 3.
Each time they did a little bit of service for someone they leave a heart behind.
I thought that 3 might take all week.
My boys were so excited about it, the first full day we did it, there were about 10 hearts found! We are slowly filling a jar with secret service acts. Each boy has come and asked for more hearts, and they are loving it.
I am enjoying how much my boys love to do service in secret.
It is such fun to encourage this "brotherly" love.
Cheers
